From a very young age, I have been reciting poems, speeches and soliloquys, informally, playfully, in front of friends, neighbors and streams of guests visiting our home. I grew up listening to such voices as Sir Lawrence Olivier, Sir John Gielgud, Richard Burton, Dylan Thomas and the like. I also listened to a lot of BBC World Service programs and tried to replicate the style and cadence of the likes of John Arlott and Henry Blofeld. Later, I became enamored with the Attenborough brothers, David and Richard. David Attenborough's narration is my idea of the Gold standard of documentary narration.
After deciding to take professional voice lessons with Such a Voice and Edward Renninger, my voice coach, I decided to become a professional Voice Actor ready to do Audiobooks, Documentaries, including Corporate films and instructional video and Commercials. I have a professional, broadcast quality home studio including Audio-Technica AT2020 microphone, PreSonus AudioBox USB 96 and Audacity recording software. I can deliver high quality audio with acceptable RMS and minimum noise levels.
And when I am not voice acting in front of a microphone, I am usually engaged in one of the following....travel and gastro-travel, cooking, watching sports, reading or listening to history or current affairs podcasts, watching movies or at the theater.
